Google Apps is a package of cloud-based services that can provide your company or school with a whole new way to work together online—not just using email and chat, but over video conferences, social media, real-time document collaborations, and more.
To put it simply, Google does not own your data. We do not take a position on whether the data belongs to the institution signing up for Apps, or the individual user (that's between the two of you), but we know it doesn't belong to us!

The data which you put into our systems is yours, and we believe it should stay that way. We think that means three key things.

  1. We won't share your data with others except as noted in our Privacy Policy.

  2. We keep your data as long as you require us to keep it.

  3. Finally, you should be able to take your data with you if you choose to use external services in conjunction with Google Apps or stop using our services altogether.

Five areas set Google Apps apart, which is why research firm Radicati named Google Apps for Work the leader in cloud business email. A summary of the report can be found in the related resources.

A cloud pioneer. Google is recognised as a trusted name and an industry leader in reliable cloud infrastructure.

Built for the cloud. Google Apps was designed as an entirely cloud-based service from the ground up, so IT departments don’t need to spend time and money maintaining any desktop components.

A complete package. The suite includes file storage and sharing with Google Drive, real-time collaboration with Google Docs, video meetings with Hangouts and professional email with Gmail, all for one single price.

Consistency and comfort. Google Apps users enjoy the same experience across different devices, operating systems and browsers, and many employees already use Google products at home.

Offline support. Gmail, Calendar and Google Docs let users view, edit and create content when they’re not on the Internet, syncing automatically when they reconnect.

When switching to Google Apps from another program or web service, you and your users can bring your existing mail, contacts, and calendar data with you. You have a variety of options for migrating data into Google Apps, depending on the size of your organisation and the system you’re migrating from. Tools are available for migration from Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, IMAP servers and other Google accounts.
There are certain situations that require the use of Google Maps API for Business. If you're using the Maps API internally or for asset tracking purposes, you must have a Maps API for Business license. Additionally, if you are charging a fee for access to your Maps solution, whether for a business or consumer audience, you are required to purchase the Maps API for Business. All three of these use cases are prohibited by the standard Google Maps API terms of service.
For customers who need enhanced features such as advanced geocoding, added support, and full control over advertising, we offer Google Maps API for Business. Google Maps API for Business also delivers the service and support enterprise organisations need when incorporating maps into customer facing websites or mission critical internal applications.
