Media Release: Dialog Announces Google for Government Transformation Program

Dialog has announced a range of service offerings to support the recent Google initiative allowing organisations to make the move to Google’s Apps and Drive for Work at largely no upfront cost. Both licensing and base deployment service costs will be covered for the organisation while they are under an existing Enterprise Agreement with their current vendor.

This Global initiative has attracted significant interest from industry. Dialog has identified an opportunity for public sector organisations, and is offering a range of services that will assist a Government department or agency to make this transition.

Dialog has a long history of government engagement and understands the needs and constraints of the public sector.  Dialog will  provide the following services at no additional cost, to augment Google’s offer.

  • A Government Governance Executive Consultation - Covering Governance, Sovereignty, Privacy, Security, and Risk Management considerations

  • A New Architecture Workshop for CIO/Enterprise Architects - Outlining the Google Architecture and assisting with understanding Google’s transformative approach

  • A Commercial Realisation Workshop - for developing and documenting the savings to be made by the organisation by this initiative

  • A Desktop/BYOD/Mobility Workshop for the Infrastructure Management team to understand further savings or benefits that can be realised

  • A Google Brand Association Marketing Executive Consultation with the Communications/Marketing Team to leverage a Case Study or other marketing benefits

  • A Cloud “Lift & Shift” Discussion with the ICT Executive for considering other benefits via Cloud Transition initiatives available with the Google Cloud Platform

Dialog’s National Practice Manager - Google Solutions, Glenn Irvine, advises that both Google’s offer and Dialog’s supporting offer for Government organisations, as well as corporates, is limited to 16 April 2016.  Any Executives who would like to avail themselves of these offers should contact Dialog at their earliest convenience.

“This is a major initiative by Google, and Dialog has supported organisations like the Australian Federal Government’s Digital Transformation Office with the migration. The Office’s transition to Google is seen as an exemplar for transforming Government digital services. Dialog wants to provide the additional advisory consulting that a Government organisation needs, to ensure a successful deployment.”, said Irvine.
